Dorothea Lange in Van Horn

Back in 1937, Dorothea Lange must have made her way through the Texas Mountain Trail region taking photos for her post at the Farm Security Administration.

This photo is dated June of that year, and titled, "A Texas Cattleman is distinguished by the type of boot he wears, Van Horn, Texas."  Thanks to the Library of Congress for making this photograph available to the public and for permission to share it with all of you!

She is one of my favorite, inspirational photographers. Her people pics are unbelievable, always thought provoking.
