Life of a Frontier Soldier
Fort Davis National Historic Site makes this possible. You can tour the barracks and hospital, officers' homes, see kitchens and even march on the parade grounds. Soldiers serving at Fort Davis were Buffalo Soldiers, African Americans who contributed greatly to the development of the West. Read more about them here.
